Food production is being put under great pressure. Climate change, herbicide resistivity and labour shortages are just some of the most pressing issues facing farmers today. Earth Rover have developed CLAWS (Concentrated Light Autonomous Weeding and Scouting), a robotic weeding and scouting systems designed alongside farmers to tackle these challenges. Using AI, edge-processing and autonomous navigation, Earth Rover have been successfully gathering and applying large data sets on farms, enabling farmers to grow on a per-plant basis, maximising yields and minimising inputs. This talk will discuss how robotics is changing farming and the food we eat for the better and the role Earth Rover are playing in this agri-tech revolution.
