Forensic entomology is a specialised area of forensic investigation using crime scene creatures to answer important questions where other disciplines fail. Did you know reportedly the oldest known case of forensic entomology dates back to 1235 when a villager was brutally murdered by wounds inflicted by a sickle, gathering the townsfolk together the local magistrate noticed insect activity around another villagers sickle. This villager soon confessed!
