COVID-19: Important Updates (24th March)

Below is an update of the key services, opening times, availability – and useful information from around the University.  If you have any specific questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the team or visit our Student FAQ page.   Key Points:

  Students’ Union

  • All none-essential services will be CLOSED – this includes SqueezeBox, Verve, Ember and the Students’ Union offices. The shop on Leek Road will remain OPEN.
  • If you'd like to stay connected and social during this time, please join our Covid-Community Facebook Group
  • Essential services will be available digitally including Advice, Student Voice, Engagement – details of which can be found here.
  • We’re working to take your questions to the University – please let us know your unanswered questions by filling in the this form.

  University

  • Core University services will remain open with a digital provision – details of which can be found here
  • Stoke on Trent campus is CLOSED with the following exceptions
    • Halls of residence will remain OPEN for those who need this.
    • Security will remain on campus to ensure the safety of all students on campus.
    • The nursey will remain OPEN for the children of key workers
  • Shrewsbury campus is CLOSED
  • Stafford campus is CLOSED with security remaining for support and safety
  • London campus is CLOSED

The following Union services will be operating digitally via email. Please contact the team if you need support. For general enquiries, please contact our Front of House team on union@staffs.ac.uk. All teams will be operating their normal provision, with information below relating to changes as a result of Covid-19.

Union Advice Team | Book an appointment

Advice will be operating a digital service to offer all the same provisions as before. To book an appointment either phone 01782 29 4629 or email union@staffs.ac.uk. From here we will set up either a call or meeting in Microsoft Teams to support you.

Student Engagement will be supporting and running plenty of opportunities for you to try something new from home. You can still start up a new group, contact them about Student Groups and find how you can engage with them digitally.

GreenPad will be offering digital support to students in GreenPad properties remotely whilst supporting students. Email GreenPad or phone 01782 422300

Student Voice | studentvoice@staffs.ac.uk

Student Voice will be working with the Officer Team to facilitate your views, opinions and ideas. If you have a question, please email the team or use our Student FAQ Page.

Marketing will be running central communications and updating students with Covid-19 information. As well as supporting the administration of the new Staffs Uni Covid Community
