04/09 - It's been a busy couple of weeks! I've been catching up with the Student Support team on issues surrounding student experience, helping to interview for the uni's new Director of Learning and Teaching, and representing students in continued timetabling discussions. I've also been involved in important conversations around the Student Manifesto Implementation Plan, which is aimed at setting out concrete actions to improve students' experience and success!
11/09 - This week, I worked with Jess - our dedicated Students' Union Coordinator for the Stafford campus - to ensure that our Stafford students will get the best experience possible. We've also made some real progress within our continued discussions around timetabling, as well as having some important conversations around how we can keep Welcome cost-of-living-aware.
18/09 - In the run-up to Welcome and the start of the year, I've spent this week in a variety of crucial meetings - from looking at the digital transformation of the University, to ensuring our academic strategy is well-considered, and everything in between! I've also been working with the University's events team to build an event for Black History Month that celebrates the black community on and around our campuses!
25/09 - I spent a lot of time last week around our campuses, meeting you guys as you joined us on campus! Whilst helping out during move-in day, I noticed that the route from Clarice Cliff to the bulk of our Stoke campus was not signposted particularly well, so I headed outside with our Estates team to plan additional signage and rearrange the signage already in place all over the Stoke campus. I also joined in with Staffs' International Welcome events to represent the Students' Union, and popped across to the Stafford campus for a 'Meet Your Officer' event!
