Greetings, warriors of Staffs Uni! It's that time again to shine a light on a student group that's sure to add a punch to your university experience. This week, our spotlight is on Fight Club – a group for all things fighting game related.

Led by Tharit Murphy - The Big Boss of Fight Club, he keeps the society up and running, Sean Tan - The person who will be sending out any important tweets or announcements such as charity events or special things that we have planned, Hayley Newnham - Hayley takes care of any Society costs, and Ellie Boulton - makes sure that you are all enjoying yourselves and having a good time.

Fight Club Society Events and Activities

Every Thursday, Cadman, D101 transforms into a vibrant hub of competitive gaming as the society hosts its weekly meetups from 5 pm to 9 pm. Members bring their own consoles, controllers.

Fight Club's socials are all about letting loose and battling it out in a friendly, free-flowing atmosphere. The games are a diverse smorgasbord of fighting game glory. The games at these events can vary

due to the nature of people running their own set ups, but can include games in Street Fighter, Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Whether you're a seasoned player seeking to hone your skills or a newcomer eager to learn the ropes, Fight Club welcomes you with open arm. The emphasis is on fun, community, and mutual growth, making it the perfect place to unleash your inner fighting spirit and forge lasting friendships along the way.

So, if you're looking to add some excitement to your Thursdays, head down to Cadman in D101 and join the Fight Club! You might just discover your hidden fighting game champion within! For those seeking the ultimate challenge, Fight Club occasionally hosts tournaments, providing members with the chance to sign up and compete for glory.
