Your Students' Union has been working with the British Heart Foundation via the Great Donate since 2012, as part of the BHF Pack For Good Campaign.
During this time, donations from Staffordshire students have diverted 37,080 tonnes from landfill ~ equivalent to 218,851Kg of CO2 emissions and raised £64,890 in second hand goods sales for the Bristish Heart Foundation. Our recent news article shares more details about the work of BHF and our partnership.
There are other ways in which students can get involved to help the live saving work of the British Heart Foundation -
This festive season, are you able to spare just a few hours to support the British Heart Foundation? At this very busy time of year, there's lots to be done in the BHF shops and stores and as volunteer numbers are still lower than pre-pandemic, they could really do with an extra pair of elfing hands! Not only will it be a great way to learn new skills, try something new, and meet amazing staff and volunteers, but you’ll also be supporting
lifesaving research
So whether you want to volunteer as a one-off, or explore supporting BHF longer term, your time will be a truly valuable gift. You can come along on your own or have a group of colleagues/friends volunteer with you.
Simply fill out this form to say when and where you can volunteer, and BHF will be in touch to follow up with the next steps. What better way to get into the festive spirit than supporting a charity? So, don your elf costume or Santa hat and get stuck in!
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) funds critical lifesaving research and give those living with heart conditions a gift that could save their life.
From 3D printed hearts to stem-cell coated patches, with your support BHF can help turn more mind-blowing ideas from the realms of science fiction into lifesaving treatments and potential cures, giving people more time together.
