🚨 24 HOURS. NON-STOP CPR. ARE YOU IN? 🚨
On 5th–6th November, the University of Staffordshire Paramedic Society is taking on one of our biggest challenges yet:
❤️ THE 24-HOUR CPR MARATHON ❤️
From 8:00am on 5th November until 8:00am on 6th November, we’re aiming to keep continuous CPR going for an entire 24 hours — all while raising money for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
And when we say continuous, we mean continuous.
For 24 hours, someone needs to be on the chest. Morning, afternoon, evening and right through the night. The clock doesn’t stop, so we need you to help us keep the compressions going.
You don't need to commit to all 24 hours (although we’ll be seriously impressed if anyone tries!). Whether you can give us 20 minutes, an hour, a few hours, or take on one of those all-important overnight slots, every person who gets involved helps us get closer to that 8:00am finish line.
This isn't just for experienced paramedics. Students and staff from all years and courses are welcome, and it's a brilliant opportunity to practise CPR, build confidence, meet other members of the society and take part in something a little bit ridiculous, but for a genuinely worthwhile cause!
🌙 WE ESPECIALLY NEED OUR NIGHT OWLS!
2am, 3am, 4am CPR, anyone?
The toughest part of this challenge won't be starting it... it'll be keeping it going when everyone else is asleep.
We're going to need a proper team to carry us through the evening, the early hours and into sunrise. So if you're the person who says “I'm always awake at 3am anyway”… this is your moment!!!!!!
Our goal is simple:
❤️ 24 hours
💪 Continuous CPR
🚁 One incredible cause
Every donation raised will support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and the lifesaving work they carry out across the region.
So come down, take your turn, bring your friends, support those doing the graveyard shift and help us prove that SPS can keep the beat going for 24 hours.
