Ghanaian Society is the official group for Ghanaian Students in Staffordshire University. We are driven by the belief that unity in diversity is our greatest strength. Our association is a welcoming space for all Ghanaian students at Staffordshire University to come together, learn and make a lasting impact both on campus and in the world.

AIM
The aim and objective of the Society would typically revolve around creating a supportive and inclusive community for Ghanaian students, promoting cultural exchange, and facilitating academic and personal growth.
This covers the areas below:
• Cultural Exchange
Foster a sense of belonging and cultural identity among Ghanaian students at Staffordshire University. Promote Ghanaian culture, traditions, and heritage through various events and activities. Encourage cross-cultural interactions and learning among international and local students.
• Academic Support
Provide peer to peer mentorship to empower members to excel academically. Provide academic resources and support to help members excel in their studies. Organize study groups, workshops, and tutoring sessions. Share information about scholarships, internships, and career opportunities.
• Networking and Mentorship
Facilitate networking opportunities among members and professionals in various fields. Establish mentorship programs to connect experienced Ghanaian professionals with students to provide guidance and advice.
• Community Service and Social Impact
Engage in community service projects to give back to both the local community and Ghana. Raise awareness and support for social issues in Ghana and abroad. Collaborate with local organizations to make a positive impact.
• Cultural Events and Celebrations
Organize cultural events, festivals, and celebrations to maintain connections to Ghana. Celebrate national holidays, traditional festivals, and special occasions. Showcase Ghanaian music, dance, food, and art.
• Professional Development
Offer workshops and seminars on career development, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Provide access to job listings and internship opportunities. Assist with resume building and interview preparation.
• Social Support and Well-being
Create a support system for students to cope with the challenges of studying abroad. Offer resources for mental health, well-being, and stress management. Organize social events and gatherings to build friendships and a sense of community.
• Information and Resource Hub
Serve as a resource center for Ghanaian students, providing signposting information to professional services for visa procedures, accommodation, legal matters, and other essential information.
