Me again!
I am running for this role again.
For those of you who don't know me, I am Len! I am a business management student and I also work for the Students Union in the office and in the kitchen at Verve! Last year I did communications for the network and this year I have been the Chair, which I want to do again!
This year, I have worked with Connor Bayliss to get pronoun badges in at the beginning of the year, and by the end of the year we should have rainbow lanyards provided by the University.
In addition to running our sessions on a Monday and Friday, we have organised a conference here at Staffs to increase awareness and to learn about living in a LGBT+ society.
What I want to do next year?
- I want to continue representing you around the University, it's something I enjoy doing and I wouldn't do it otherwise!
- I want to push the university to promote inclusion.
- I will be pushing for greater awareness for TDOR
- Get the University to show support and greater inclusion, especially during LGBT+ History Month
- I want to push sports teams for greater inclusion and representation with the reintroduction of rainbow laces.
- I also want to redo our SUG LGBT+ Conference, with the aim of getting more Unions to attend this year.
- I also want to continue the regular sessions and incorporate more socials!
