As a student in their first year of moving away from home, it’s been an interesting adjustment that’s helped me prioritise my own finances and responsibilities in a way I’m sure anyone living on £20 a week can relate to.
Of course my family is always there to help me; but I like to be independant when it comes to money. That’s why as your finance officer, I would like to think I’m systematic enough to execute all legal requirements for our society.
I intend to carry out the role that may not be the most entertaining to some; but easily the most important in the eyes of the Students’ Union – and to me, that’s engaging enough.
