My name is Quinn Rothwell, this year i have been the gender identity officer for the LGBT+ Network and this time i intend to stand for the role of network manager.
As someone who has been a member of the LGBT+ network for my time at the university i am passionate about seeing the network succeed as it was exceedingly helpful to me, especially in my first year at the university. Over my time in my previous role i have done my best to provide social and educational opportunities for members of the network and in this role i intend to take this further.
The areas id like to focus on are inclusivity and community, as a transgender person i know that it is integral that all members of the LGBTQ+ community have a space where they can feel safe and accepted and community is especially important during covid times when many of us feel isolated and alone.
I would be excited and passionate about taking up the position of network manager and will continue to do my best and more in this role.
