Let Me Help You

Being a Law student, I can emphasise with other students on how tough life at university is and the stress that students go through every day. I want to work with the university to improve student satisfaction. I will represent students by communicating with them on a 1-21 level, making myself available and approachable to anyone with concerns.

I would change Staffordshire University through more understanding of the services available to students and taking time to enjoy life as a student for example attending events. The biggest problem that the student union is going to face over the next 12 months is accommodation queries and financial hardship mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If I am elected I'll campaign for more student support and for students to feel as though they are being listened to. During my first year, I experienced some personal issues that meant that I needed to take time off university, I contacted the university to inform them however the message was not passed on. As a result of this my grades were low and I needed to bring myself back to the university and learn on my own to ensure I passed. I learned that it is easier to study and learn on my own terms, and though I shed many tears as a result of this but I am still predicted my overall 1st. I would like more support for all students, whether for a personal matter or for university workloads.

This campaign matters to me because I have experienced a mixture of both happy and sad emotions, I would like to change this for other students.

I can offer full support and a friendly ear.  A kind and caring friend that will listen to you and support you through your time at University. I will help the university improve by forwarding queries and questions from students.
