- Wednesday afternoons should be timetabled off for clubs and societies, maintaining friendships and taking time away from studies is crucial to mental well-being.
- Introducing a buddy system for societies, where current members can sign up to meet a student who is interested in joining a society but might not want to go alone or just have some questions before attending!
- Running regular social events where the officer team can hear students' feedback in a casual environment, such as coloring clubs, coffee mornings and trips to parks/nature reserves across all campuses.
Focusing on supporting students through digital poverty.
- Having a working mobile phone is essential to students' safety and education. No student should be expected to travel to and from campus without a method of contacting emergency services, a friend or safe-zone if needed.
- I aim to create an environment where students can voice their concerns about how digital poverty is affecting them or how it may do so in the future and how the students union and university can support them.
