My name is Jack Marshall, and I am currently studying for my master’s degree in Criminology. You may remember that in my third year I was network lead (last year) and I relish the opportunity to be in the role once's  again as I believe there is still a huge amount I have to offer. The key ideas I hope to implement are as follows:

  1. Continue building the groundwork for disability sports  in the university leading to including disables sport within the Varsity tournament.
  2. Launch a weekly radio slot on Staffs Radio specifically for talking all things disability
  3. Work with Staffs TV to create a documentary highlighting the need for better understanding of the impact that disability has on people’s lives.

There are many more ideas I wish to achieve if elected.

I was thrilled to realise my ambition of opening discussion with the central university during my time as network lead last year on many projects. These included hosting a Powerchair football taster session on campus with the view of making this a permanent asset to the local community; making the provided accessibility aids more visible for those who need them for example adding signage for a lift in the SU; Proving a disabled person’s insight for the design of new buildings on the campus including the new village building; by far my proudest moment was receiving the honour of Network of the year for the University.

I hope I can count on your vote!
