There is a literal building named after me
Hello, I am Holly Cadman and I am a level 5 Games PR & Community Management student.
Staffordshire University has an amazing games department that I am proud to be a part of and as the games department representative, I would put in the work to ensure its continuing success. As someone who studies community management, I have a keen insight into what it means to be a part of a community and how best to serve the needs of the community.
As a department rep, I would implement a transparent communication system to ensure all students are informed of essential information. This level of transparency would help to ensure that everyone is on the same page and help to create an inclusive space for everyone.
Furthering on from that, I will work to foster a community that is an inclusive and welcoming space that supports everyone interested in games, regardless of identity. I believe it is important to create opportunities that allow for collaboration between students who might not have the chance to do so.
Games are great at bringing people together, and as such I will work to ensure that the Games Department is able to engage with the wider community here at Staffordshire University.
As communication is a two way thing, I will actively encourage feedback and engagement from students to make sure their voices are heard. I will explore a variety of options to see how best effectively this can be implemented and will use feedback given to improve communication strategies and make sure the needs of students are being met.
As the Games Department Rep I would be committed to ensuring the department continues to thrive and help to shape the vision of the students, staff, faculty and Staffordshire University as a whole.
