Enabling every student to make a difference.

Hello,

My name is Abbygale "Abby" Dunn and I am a first year undergraduate on the Games Design and Programming course. I am standing to be elected as the department representative for Games Development because I would like to make sure that the views of all students in the Games courses are represented fairly and that each person can make an impact.

As the department representative for Games Development, I would aim to ensure that:

  1. Every student has the ability to express their opinion and have that opinion be heard and worked on so that the department can change for the better.
  2. You, as students, are made aware of the decisions that are made by the council and are able to express your opinion on them.
  3. Decisions that are made by the council are made to benefit and aid the student body to enhance your university experience.

In order to achieve these goals, I will use my relevant experience in leadership and study which is evident from some of my previous awards such as the Young Leaders Award, several departmental awards in computer science, and academic achievement in sixth form study. Whilst I may have received these awards, I want to make sure that not only myself, but every member of the department is able to lead the department to an even greater future. I will endeavour to give everyone opportunities to inform the course reps and myself of what I and the council can do to improve your experience because this is your department and only you know best what you want to change.

I would be honoured to receive your vote and have the opportunity to represent you during the coming year and improve your university experience and the experience of future students.
