Candidate for the position of Rock, Alternative, Metal Society - Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer

Etienne Chapelot

Hello there my name is Etienne I have been a part of the rams society since 2021.

I am a second year student currently studying games design at the university. I joined RAMS on my first year of university to try and make new friends and bond with people who share the similar tastes in music and video games that I do.

So far in my time in RAMS I have had a lot of fun memories from all the events and have made some new friends. Joining RAMS was one of the best decisions I have made on my first year at University. This was because I didn't have any friends to talk with and hang out which made me feel very lonely during my first half of the year at the universityy.

After joining rams I quickly made some great friends and attended alot the events to talk about music and share my other interests like video games with other members of the RAMS society.

As a way of showing my thanks and giving back to the club I am running for the position of Wellbeing and Inclusion officer.

Below are some of the reasons why I think would make a great inclusion officer for RAMS.

  1. I am a friendly approachable person who can engage in conversations with people and I can be very understanding with people
  2. I am a good listener and can respond well to feedback that is given to me on what I can do to help others
  3. I can give helpfull advice to those who are suffering from loneliness and are looking to be a part of a friend group and bond with other people.
  4. I can help to make RAMS as inclusive as possible by helping out people who have learning disabilities like myself who has austism feel welcomed into the scoiety
  5. I enjoy helping out people I have experience coaching in sports and have shown to be a great leader conducting group fitness sessions and coaching indivuduals in the gym too.
