My time in SUDC started just last year when I began my second year at Staffs, and I’ve found being involved with the society has given me a great sense of belonging, and I have felt more involved with student life and have also greatly enjoyed being able to return to an old passion of mine and meeting yet more amazing people on my university journey. In order to further my involvement in university life, I would love to step up to the committee for the next academic year as I feel like this would be a good confidence booster for me and it’d be great for me to be able to work as part of a team and I think having the experience as a committee member will enable me to do that.
I consider myself to be both organized and good with money and maths, so I think that I’d be able to handle the role of finance officer well as I’d be able to keep track of finances within the society and would be good at organizing things that needed to be purchased for a certain date. Moreover, I also consider myself to be good at meeting deadlines and I do not like leaving things until the last minute so if I was to get the role, things would be organized and done in plenty of time to keep society running as smoothly as possible.
Next year, I look forward to seeing what’s changed in society from this year, as well as building upon things that I need to improve on in my dancing from this year, and of course getting to do another competition season all over again as I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in both competitions this year and I really look forward to getting to have another go next year and trying even harder than I did this time round as I always strive to better myself, and should I get this role, I look forward to being able to handle the monetary side of the society and also assisting any of the other committee roles should they need my help.
