Hi,
I'm Shaun. I have been an active member of the Disabled Student's Network since joining in 2022. As a network manager, I not only seek to bring my lived experience to the position but also my professional experiences; I have previously worked for a Deaf charity, and I have volunteered for Citizens Advice, among others.
If elected, I will:
- work tirelessly to improve our experience at Staffordshire University, whether issues directly associated with the university or broader social issues
- Raise awareness of barriers to education and how the student experience can be improved.
- seek to implement positions across all campuses to ensure that no matter where you live or study, you have an opportunity to join the network and participate
- conduct regular surveys and research on the DSN membership to place inclusivity and a collective voice at the heart of our decisions.
- hold regular events.
