Looking to improve your Pokemon skills? Come down to the beacon building and compete in either VGC or TCG battles. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the games or get some practise in for larger events. These tournaments are low-stakes and beginner friendly. If reception is good, we'd like to do these every other week.
VGC is the official double battles format played on Pokemon Champions. You'll need either a Nintendo Switch or mobile device with the game installed in order to compete. You'll also need to have a team of Pokemon to battle with.
TCG is the trading card game. You'll need to bring a full deck in order to compete. TCG is played using physical cards, NOT the online platform.
Competition will be held with the Swiss rounds format, similar to how it's done at local events. Every round you will try to be paired with someone with the same record as you. Amount of rounds is subject to the amount of players.
