The Refreshers Fair hits campus on Wednesday 18th January. It is nothing to do with quenching your thirst or the sticky sweets that ruin your teeth; instead, it is about making sure you don’t feel like you’ve missed out in the first semester of the year.
If you’ve been interested in joining a society or sports club but didn’t think it’d be right to join mid-way through a semester then this is the chance you’ve been waiting for. Countless societies such as Marvel, Film, Engineering and Psychology are going to be there ready to tell you what they are all about and why you should think about joining them. There is a great range of both academic and interest based societies for you to get your teeth into should you be interested.
However, if you’re more of an active person there’s a load of sports clubs all ready for you to become their next big signing. These include men and women’s Rugby, Volleyball, Mixed Martial Arts and Ultimate Frisbee. You never know, you could become a Staffs sporting legend in the rest of your time here and win some well-deserved trophies for the Union and University.
There is also the Liberation networks who are here to help you through anything that might be troubling you, with both the Multi-Cultural Network and the Disabled Network available to talk to on the day. If you are interested, why not join?
As well as all of this, there is of course a great amount of freebies available on the day for you to hoard. Huge international companies Spotify and Goals will be on hand to give you the best deals for their product, as well as Chicken Connoisseurs Dixie Chicken who will be there to give you great deal vouchers and free chicken.
Local companies Revolution, City Cabs and the Regent Theatre will also be attending.
