As a Give It A Go event, we've opened this up to Interested Students and non-members! If you feel this is an event for you, come on by! You only need your Student ID or some form of Valid ID like a provisional license!
The Rock, Alternative and Metal Society take over Verve for a Monday night, blasting our music through the venue!
Enjoy the chill atmosphere with the good music, good company, and even a few games!
You may be asking, what is R.A.M.S.?
R.A.M.S. (the Rock, Alternative, and Metal Society) is a long-standing society, that has been running for 14 years!
If you like music, hanging out with others, and feeling included, the R.A.M.S. crowd is diverse with those who love all sorts of hobbies, such as Warhammer, Tabletop, Video Games, Programming, Sports, Cars, and many many more!
Every member of R.A.M.S. is different, but we all come together over our love for music and are always welcome to new members, and we are thoroughly #proudtobestaffs!
What perks can I expect from a membership?
- You gain a free wristband, entitling you to discounted entry to MISFIT (2nd Monday of the month, LRV), Skullcracker (Saturdays, The Underground) and Devils Night! (Last Saturday of the month, The Sugarmill)
- FREE entry to ALL R.A.M.S. events, and select collaborative events such as the Monster Ball (30th October, LRV) Valentines Bash, and Tavern! (Dates TBA)
- Access to R.A.M.S. Merch!
- Subsidised society trips!
- And finding a group of people you can call friends, possibly for life!
We are also planning to:
- Get involved with charities such as UPRAWR, Movember and the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
- Planning additional R.A.M.S. Events for members to get involved with, hopefully without harming your wallet!
- Extending the value of our wristbands with other discounts and uses.
- Include and facilitate interaction with the R.A.M.S. Old Guard (Alumni), possibly with Merch, event inclusion, and other possibilities.
