As part of Bike Week 2024, Staffordshire University’s on-campus Police Officer, PC Gareth Richardson and colleagues from Staffordshire Police, will be on campus hosting a bike marking event.
Staff and students are invited to come down to the entrance of The Catalyst building on Friday 14 June 2024 to get your bike security marked as well as put onto the Bike Register for FREE. You can also get advice on all things bike security from the team to help keep your bike as secure as possible.
Security marking your bike deters potential thieves as your bike can be easily traced if it is stolen. Being on the on BikeRegister means you could be reunited with your bike in the event of it being stolen. Your details are held on a secure online database which all UK Police Forces have access to. Registering your bike helps police and retailers identify and verify the legitimate owner of bikes that have been stolen or are being resold.
No registration is needed – just show up on the day with your bike(s).
