COVID-19 vaccination bus – Wednesday 28 September and Thursday 29 September 2022
A NHS COVID-19 vaccination bus will be coming onto campus on Wednesday 28 September and Thursday 29 September 2022, offering first, second and booster vaccines. If you are over 50, and have been invited for your Autumn Booster vaccine, you can also attend the bus to receive this.
The bus will be on our Leek Road site campus from 11.30am to 4.30pm. Please keep an eye on the Staff App for location details.
Vaccinations are available to all Staffordshire University staff and students, as well as the general public, and you can walk-in on the day.
The vaccination bus will be offering the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines (no AstraZeneca vaccines will be available).
Anyone over 16 years old can consent for their own vaccinations. The bus can also offer vaccines to 12 to 15 year olds but they must be accompanied by an adult who is able to consent for them.
If you have a vaccination card, please bring this with you, however it’s not essential.
It is also helpful for you to be registered with a GP in England and be able to provide your NHS number (or be able to provide the address of your GP practice). This is not essential either but if you are not registered with a GP, you won’t be able to view your vaccinations on the NHS App.
Please do not attend if you feel unwell with any COVID-19 symptoms or if you have recently tested positive for COVID-19, even if you have no symptoms.
If you can’t make it this time, the bus will be back on campus at the same times on Friday 21 October 2022.
